1. Style & design

Normally, double wall electric kettle has two walls. The inner wall usually is food-grade SUS304 material, the outer wall is PP or ABS material.

Big brand usually use PP material as the outer wall. Why not chose ABS? New ABS material is more expensive than new PP material. Some factory use recycled ABS material for the outer wall, which may have bad smell. Besides, ABS injection is not as easier as PP. So that’s why most of the kettle factory and Lingfeng use PP material as the outer wall instead of ABS.

2. Construction

Double wall electric kettle has two walls which is cooling-touch.It means when the kettle is on boiling hot water, but hands touch on the kettle surface, it is still cool. Compared with the double wall electric kettle, traditional single stainless steel kettle is much easier to hurt hands when touch the hot kettle surface.

Besides, the double wall electric kettle always has big opening. With the big opening, it is easy to put hand and cleaning cloth into the inner body to remove away the dirty.

Moreover, some double wall electric kettle has 2 angle for lid-opening. The first angle is around 45°, the second is around 85°. With this 2 opening angle design, it would prevent the hot water ricochet to user with 45°opening, it make it easy to input water and clean the inside with 85° opening.

Double wall electric kettle would prevent the temperature from losing after boil-out the water. Single stainless steel kettle would lose temperature faster, but with double wall design, it would prevent the temperature lose in a way.

Double wall electric kettle’s price is cheaper than single stainless steel kettles? Why?

Because it has a plastic outer wall, with this outer wall, the stainless steel outer face not need polished or extra processing. Besides, there is not any steam tube inside the body for double wall kettle, not like most single stainless steel kettle.

Even if there is not any steam tube inside the kettle, but it is still not any bad effects to its use. It would be shut off the power when boil the water to 98℃ within 25seconds.Without the stainless steel steam tube, it would also save some cost.

Besides, the double wall electric kettle metal parts would be producted by machines automatically. Normally the inner stainless steel body would be shared the same toolings with many models, just need to change the outer wall design. So it would save some tooling cost. In some Chinese factories, there is some automatically metal assembling line, it would product more than 10000pcs stainless steel inner body, 2-3 times more than man work.

Double wall electric kettle’s construction is more simple than single stainless steel kettle, so the assembling cost is lower than single stainless steel’s.

5. Safety and life cycle test

Same as the single stainless steel electric kettle, double wall electric kettle has 4 protection. The first is boil-out water auto shut down protection, second is dry-boil auto shut down protection, third is over-heat auto shut down protection, forth is earth-ground protection.

Same as the single stainless steel electric kettle, double wall electric kettle use Strix controller system, it would pass 10000pcs life cycle test.
