Different varieties of tea have strict requirements on water temperature.

1). Green Tea

The water temperature of green tea brewing is generally about 80℃. Green tea is unfermented tea, and the tea leaves are delicate. Too high temperature will destroy the nutrients in the tea leaves and affect the taste. Generally, the brewing temperature is about 80℃. The more tender the tea is, the lower the brewing temperature is. The brewed tea soup is green and clear with fresh taste.

2). Black Tea

The water temperature of black tea brewing is about 90~95℃, and the brewing temperature is relatively high. Black tea belongs to fully fermented tea and is suitable for high temperature brewing. The brewing temperature is too low to produce the aroma of black tea, and the brewing temperature is too high to ensure the aroma of tea. The brewing time is generally 3-5 minutes. Black tea tastes best in the first brew and is high in nutrients. Black tea should be stuffy, but not stuffy for too long, it will affect the taste of black tea.

3). White tea

White tea, a slightly fermented tea, is a special treasure among Chinese teas. The brewing water temperature is controlled between 85℃ and 90℃. Generally, a cup of white tea can be brewed two or three times. After brewing, the white tea is crystal clear. The tea leaves are completely unfolded in the cup. Each piece is like jade, and the tea soup is bright green.

4). Yellow tea

Yellow tea belongs to light fermentation tea, and the brewing temperature should be controlled between 80℃ and 90℃. It is recommended to use glass or covered bowl for brewing tea set, which is shaped like sparrow's tongue and bright green. Yellow tea is more delicate, generally brewing 2~3 times. The brewed tea soup is golden, sweet and fragrant.

5). Oolong tea

Oolong tea is semi-fermented tea, among which Tieguanyin is the most famous. It is the best of Oolong tea. The brewing temperature is about 95℃. That is to say, the essence of Tieguanyin should appear in the fourth bubble.

6). Dark tea

Black tea is a kind of post-fermented tea, among which Pu 'er tea is the most famous. Pu-erh tea needs to be brewed at a water temperature of 100℃ to bubble out the fragrance of tea. Pu 'er tea is mostly pressed tea, the first two tea can not make the tea fully unfolded, so the essence is generally in 3~5 bubbles. The amount or soaking time can be adjusted according to personal preference.

 

1. Electric kettle must have enough power

Fast boiling water need big power. For a 1.7L electric kettle, 1850-2200W power is a very good choice. It only take around 5mins to boil out the water. Under this case, tea lover can make tea in a quick time.

 

2. Electric kettle with keep-warm function is a better choice.
